Manchester Community Choir Newsletter June 2024
Fri, 28 Jun 2024Printable version
Just as an exciting year of singing is drawing to a close, Manchester Community Choir looks back over the past 6 months, enjoying a variety of performances at home and away. Yet to come is the Llangollen International Eisteddffod where the choir will be singing on Saturday 6th July. Be sure to check out the festival photos on our website HERE after the event.
Most importantly, however, 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the choir. Our Past and Present page charts the journey from the beginning, celebrating our fabulous musical directors through the years with photos and video. We look at Street Choirs Festivals, the Llangollen International Music Festivals and , closer to home, Chorlton Arts Festival in all of which the choir have joyfully participated.
Further performances are recorded through photographs from Victoria Baths in 2008 to Manchester Craft and Design Centre in 2019. More recent events are included in the recent past performance page on the website HERE.
It is clear the Manchester Community Choir has moved performers and audiences with fabulous singing and the opportunity to share the joy of coming together in song over all of those years. Members and musical directors have come along, taken part and moved on but the spirit of the choir, while changing and evolving, remains collaborative, collective and strong.
Here's looking forward to the next 25 years.....
